2010 - "...La Muerte de cualquier Hombre me disminue...."

This altar was dedicated to the 72 immigrants who were murdered in Mexico and to all the immigrants who are "Dos veces mojados."  They come from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and other countries and travel through Mexico as part of their journey only to be murdered on their way to the promise land.  It reminded me of John Donne's 1572 - 1631 - Meditation XVII - "...any man's death dimishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls, it tolls for thee...."  because it husts to know that another human can do that to their fellow man - as fellow humans we should be more than just concerned.
